Advance Relocation System
Safety is paramount to us here at Advance Relocation Systems. According to www.truckaccidentattorneynetwork.org, every year there are more than 400,000 road accidents involving large vehicles and trucks – that’s nearly 1,100 a day! We believe in doing all that we can to ensure our trucks and drivers aren’t a part of this statistic. Over the years we have implemented some safety measures that protect our drivers and ensure your property is safe too. A big part of this is the safety measures we have implemented over the past few years. All of our trucks are outfitted with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and multiple cameras, both inside and outside of the truck.
Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)
In February 2016, the ELD mandate/ ELD final rule came into effect. The ELD mandate is a U.S Federal government regulation that states that operators of commercial motor vehicles covered by this law will be required to use electronic logging devices or ELDs. The compliance date for this regulation was December 18, 2017, giving operators just under 2 years to meet the requirement. At Advance Relocation System, we started the process of outfitting our trucks with ELDs in 2015 and have been fully compliant with this mandate since 2017. ELDs are mainly used to record Hours of Service (HOS)—the number of hours a commercial driver spends driving per day and how many hours they’re on-duty and off-duty per week. HOS are regulated by the federal government to ensure drivers aren’t sitting behind the wheel for several hours at a stretch, which can be physically tiring and lead to increased street and highway accident rates.

Dash Cams
We have equipped all of our trucks with three dash cameras. Two are located on each side of the truck facing backward while the third is located at the front of the truck facing forward. These cams record follow distance, i.e how close the truck comes to the vehicle in front of it, as well as the speed limit. They also have GPS systems that allow us to monitor the location of the truck at any time, track the speed limit and detect when the truck departs their travel lane. These dashcams allow us to actively monitor and coach our drivers which effectively increases their driving skills.

At Advance Relocation Systems, over our 80+ years in business, we have made it a priority to keep ourselves and our employees up to date with changes in the industry. Our employees are certified and educated on an ongoing basis. We ensure that we are always in compliance with the regulations governing our industry and we maintain the highest standard of professionalism and skill you expect and deserve from a moving company.
While change is never easy and there was initially some amount of pushback from our drivers on these new measures, they have now come to see the immense benefits. We are able to not only track and monitor our drivers but we are also able to coach and train them. The results speak for themself as we have maintained a lowered accident rate since the implementation of these safety measures.
