Meet Michelle Green, Our Director Of Commercial Sales Tuesday Sep 20, 2022

Michelle Green is our in-house “commercial-moving specialist.” Michelle has worked her way up the corporate ladder. She joined the moving industry as a claims adjuster and has held a variety of customer-service positions since then. At Advance Relocation Systems, she is our Director of Commercial Sales. She has managed to thrive as a successful, strong and respected female sales rep in an industry that is more than 90% male.

“I like to joke and say I wanted to be in the movie industry but people heard me wrong, so I ended up in the moving industry.” - Michelle Green. 

When Michelle moved from Baltimore to L.A. at age 22, she had multiple interviews with a women's magazine. However, they weren’t ready to make a decision for a few weeks. Because she was in need of a job at the time, she interviewed at a local moving company that offered her an immediate position. After moving back to Baltimore, she joined the Advance Relocation Systems family in 2014. She has 30+ years of industry experience in Customer Service, Customer Service Management, Project Management and Sales. Her certifications and education include Dale Carnegie Sales Training, Women in Leadership Training and International Office Moving Institute Certification in Sales. Michelle has managed many large office and industrial moves during her extensive career.

Michelle loves the ever-changing nature of the moving industry. No two projects are ever the same. As someone who gets bored easily, she enjoys navigating the various challenges and personalities on each job. She also loves the people she gets to work with every day.

“I worked for four different movers before ARS, but I love them because of Dalton and Char - the most fair, amazing people I've ever worked for. They treat everyone extremely well.” 

Michelle is a proud mother of two wonderful, independent daughters. She loves animals. Most of her spare time is spent volunteering at the Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter (BARCS). She fosters a lot of animals—sick, abused and vulnerable animals. She takes care of them until they are ready for adoption. Not only that, but she also likes traveling. She looks back at her experience in Seoul, South Korea in 2019 as her most memorable trip.
